Pahalgam

A quaint little village nestled on the banks of the river Lidder; Pahalgam is an idyllic resort, with surroundings, ideal for relaxation and leisure, in the true spirit of a traditional hill-station holiday. Set amidst fir and pine covered mountains; Pahalgam is renowned for its natural beauty and has a golf course at 2400 meters.Situated at the confluences of the Lidder and Sheshnag streams, this place is an anglers delight and even an amateur can catch a rainbow trout from the rushing streams. History

Pahalgam has scenery, not history. It does not have much of a local population, as a result of which, it does not have much to offer, by way of heritage.

HOW TO REACH

By Air : Pahalgam does not have an airport. The nearest airport is in Srinagar and is well connected to Delhi, Jammu and Leh. Buses and taxis regularly ply between Srinagar and Pahalgam. But J&K Department of Tourism runs a helicopter service to Pahalgam from Srinagar. Frequency depends on demand. The nearest Airport is in Badgam District.

By Rail : The nearest Rail Head is at Jammu and is well connected to places like Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, Kolkata, Indore, Gorakhpur, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Mangalore.

By Road : The J&K Road Transport Corporation runs daily sight seeing tours from Srinagar. Assistance is available at Tourist Reception Centre, Srinagar. Bus service is available from Srinagar and Anantnag. Taxis can be hired from Srinagar at pre-fixed rates.

Climate : It is cool and pleasant in summer and snowbound in winter.

Day 04: Srinagar - Pahalgam
Today you will be transferred by road from Srinagar to Pahalgam (94 kms / 2.5 hrs), is Kashmir's premier resort and is close to the base for Amarnath Yatra. proceed to your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure, overnight at the house boat.

Day 05: Pahalgam - Srinagar
This morning is at leisure for individual activities. Later today you will be transferred to Srinagar by road, proceed to your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure for shopping and own activities, overnight at the house boat.

Day 06:Srinagar
Today you will be transferred to Srinagar airport for your onward journey.
